The inaugural “In Celebration of Education” gala benefiting
Scholarship America^SM was held on the evening of Sunday,
May 18, 2003, at the Marriott City Center in Minneapolis.

The event was part of National Scholarship Month^SM activities sponsored
by Minnesota-based Scholarship America, the nation’s largest  nonprofit,
private sector scholarship and educational support organization.

The gala was hosted by Tony Orlando, with other musical guests
Amy Grant, Sounds of Blackness and internationally-known
entertainers The Osmond Brothers.
